Isabel naci\u00f3 el 23 de octubre de 1942<\/span> en el partido de Avellaneda, Provincia de Buenos Aires, y<\/span> vivi\u00f3 en Mar del Plata durante su infancia y juventud. En 1964 se cas\u00f3 con Manuel Gonz\u00e1lez Sarmiento y tuvieron dos hijos. Manuel hab\u00eda entablado amistad con Atilio Jorge Cattaneo \u2013hermano de Mar\u00eda Isabel- durante la militancia de ambos.<\/span><\/p>\n Isabel supo de la desaparici\u00f3n de su hermano pocos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s del\u00a0 8 de enero de 1977 cuando los compa\u00f1eros de militancia de Atilio se presentaron en su casa para contarle. Isabel ten\u00eda 35 a\u00f1os.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ella junto a Manuel realizaron la denuncia por la desaparici\u00f3n, iniciaron el proceso de b\u00fasqueda y formaron\u00a0 parte de distintos organismos de Derechos Humanos: Familiares de Detenidos y Desaparecidos por Razones Pol\u00edticas y Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Isabel y Manuel residen en Espa\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=\u00bbENGLISH\u00bb _builder_version=\u00bb4.27.4″ _module_preset=\u00bbdefault\u00bb hover_enabled=\u00bb0″ sticky_enabled=\u00bb0″]<\/p>\n Isabel was born on October 23, 1942, in the Avellaneda district of Buenos Aires Province, and lived in Mar del Plata during her childhood and youth. In 1964, she married Manuel Gonz\u00e1lez Sarmiento, and they had two children. Manuel had become friends with Atilio Jorge Cattaneo\u2014Mar\u00eda Isabel’s brother\u2014in the course of their shared activism.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Isabel was 35 years old when she learned of her brother’s disappearance a few days after January 8, 1977, when Atilio’s fellow activists showed up at her house to tell her.
